SLDL5200 Series – SoltaScan Pulse Radar Level Meter
The SLDL5200 series is a versatile pulse radar level meter designed for continuous level measurement of both liquids and solids. It operates by emitting microwave pulses that travel at the speed of light, reflect off the surface of the measured medium, and are received back by the antenna. The time interval between transmission and reception is directly proportional to the distance, allowing precise calculation of the level.
This series includes five main models: SLDL5215 (rod type), SLDL5222 (rod type), SLDL5223/SLDL5228 (horn type), SLDL5224 (hygienic type), and SLDL5229 (raindrop type). Each model is optimized for specific applications and process conditions.

Model Overview
SLDL5215 (Rod Antenna): Designed for simple process liquid measurement, highly corrosive environments, hygienic applications, and narrow nozzle installations. Features a PVDF, PTFE, PP, or PFA rod antenna. Measuring range up to 35m, process temperature -40°C to +150°C, pressure -1 to 16 bar, accuracy ±5mm, beam angle 30°.
SLDL5222 (Encapsulated Rod Antenna): Ideal for corrosive liquids in small vessels under simple process conditions. Features a PTFE or PVDF encapsulated antenna. Measuring range up to 35m, temperature -40°C to +80°C, pressure -1 to 3 bar, accuracy ±1mm, beam angle 23°.
SLDL5223/SLDL5228 (Horn Antenna): Suitable for continuous level measurement of slightly corrosive liquids and solids under extreme process conditions (high temperature, high pressure). Features 304 or 316L horn antennas. Measuring range up to 70m, temperature -196°C to +450°C, pressure -1 to 160 bar, accuracy ±1mm. Beam angle ranges from 6° to 23° depending on antenna size.
SLDL5224 (Hygienic Type): Designed for corrosive liquids in harsh process conditions with steam and material adhesion, including conical tank bottom measurement. Features an encapsulated PTFE, PVDF, or PFA antenna. Measuring range up to 70m, temperature -196°C to +200°C, pressure -1 to 16 bar, accuracy ±1mm, beam angle 10°.
SLDL5229 (Raindrop Antenna): Optimized for solid measurement under the most challenging process conditions. Features a PTFE raindrop-shaped antenna that resists caking. Measuring range up to 120m, temperature -50°C to +150°C (up to 800°C with isolation accessory), pressure -1 to 20 bar (up to 400 bar with isolation accessory), accuracy ±1mm. Beam angle 8° for DN80 and 4° for DN150.
