Routine maintenance of pressure transmitter

pressure transmitter

1. Check the size of the mounting holes

It is crucial to carefully check the size of the mounting hole. Improper installation will cause the threaded part of the electrical pressure transducer to be worn, which will have a negative impact on the sealing performance of the equipment, causing the alco pressure transmitter to fail to function and even causing safety hazards. To avoid this, use appropriate mounting holes and check them with a mounting hole gauge to make appropriate adjustments.

2. Keep the mounting holes clean

In order to ensure the normal operation of the equipment, it is very important to keep the mounting holes clean and prevent the melt from clogging. During the process of disassembling the pressure sensor, residual melt may occur, causing the mounting hole to be blocked and the sensor to be damaged. At this time, use a cleaning kit to remove melt residue to ensure normal operation of the equipment.

3. Choose the right location

Choosing the appropriate location is the key to pressure transmitter mounting. If mounted too far upstream, unmelted material may wear down the top of the sensor. However, if placed too far back, molten material may accumulate between the sensor and the screw travel, causing distortion of the pressure signal. If the sensor is embedded too deeply into the barrel, the screw may hit the sensor during rotation and cause damage. Generally speaking, the sensor can be placed on the barrel in front of the filter, before and after the melt pump, or in the mold. When selecting a location, all factors must be carefully considered to ensure that the sensor can work properly to ensure smooth production.

4. Clean carefully

Before the detergent is squeezed out of the barrel, we need to clean it carefully. Using a wire brush or special compounds are common cleaning methods, but you need to pay attention to isolating diaphragm pressure transmitter isolating diaphragm pressure transmitter

Remove it to prevent the vibration membrane from being damaged. If the barrel is heated, we should also disassemble the sensor and wipe the top with a soft cloth. Cleaning the holes requires a drill and guide bushing. This can ensure the normal operation of the barrel and reduce the possibility of failure.

5. Prevent pressure overload

Even if the measurement range overload design of the electrical pressure transducer can reach 50% (that is, the ratio of exceeding the measurement range), we should try to avoid taking risks from the safety perspective of equipment operation and choose equipment with the measured pressure within the sensor range. Normally, we recommend that the range of the selected sensor should be 2 times the pressure being measured, so that damage to the pressure sensor can be avoided even when operating at extremely high pressures.

At the same time, in order to ensure the normal operation of the electrical pressure transducer, please check it once a week and perform calibration once a month. During the inspection, the dust inside the instrument must be carefully removed, the electrical components must be carefully checked, and the output current value must be calibrated frequently. Since there is weak electricity inside the pressure transmitter, it must be isolated from the strong electricity from the outside during installation to ensure safety.
