Correct Use Of Electronic Pressure Transmitter
Sep 21, 2023| The operating principle of the SLDP3351-DP electronic pressure transmitter can be described as follows: the two pressures of the measured medium enter through the high-pressure chamber and the low-pressure chamber, and act on the isolation diaphragm of the delta element (also called a sensitive element). The pressure sensor manufacturer transmits the filling fluid to both sides of the measuring diaphragm through the spacer and the filling fluid. The electrodes on the measuring diaphragm and the insulating sheet form two capacitors. When the pressure on both sides is unbalanced, the measuring diaphragm will be displaced, and its displacement is proportional to the pressure difference. Therefore, the capacitance of the capacitors on both sides is different. Through a process of oscillation and demodulation, this difference is converted into a signal proportional to the pressure. Pressure transmitters and absolute pressure transmitters work on the same principle as differential pressure transmitters. The only difference is that the pressure in the low-pressure chamber can be atmospheric pressure or vacuum.

Correct use of electronic pressure transmitter
1. Avoid contact between pressure transducer measurement and corrosive or overheated media.
2. Prevent accumulation of debris in the pipeline during use.
3. When measuring liquid pressure, choose a pressure interface with a side opening to avoid slag deposits.
4. When measuring gas pressure, select the pressure interface with the top opening and install the pressure transmitter on the upper part of the pipeline so that the accumulated liquid can be easily injected into the pipeline.
5. The pressure interface pipe should be installed in a place with small temperature fluctuations.
6. When measuring steam or other high-temperature media, a condenser such as a buffer (such as a coil) needs to be connected to ensure that the operating temperature of the transmitter does not exceed the limit.
7. When preventing freezing in winter, the electronic pressure transmitter installed outdoors must take anti-freezing measures to prevent the liquid in the pressure interface from freezing and expanding, causing damage to the sensor.
8. When measuring liquid pressure, the pressure transmitter mounting should avoid liquid impact (water hammer phenomenon) to prevent the pressure transmitter from being damaged due to overpressure.
9. When wiring, use waterproof joints or flexible pipes and tighten the sealing nuts to prevent rainwater from entering the inside of the transmitter housing.
