In a certain company's silicone project, it involves level measurement of low-mass fraction hydrochloric acid. After sufficient discussion and research, engineers decided to use PTFE-made all-tetrafluoroethylene hydrochloric acid radar level transmitters and chose flange connection. So why did they make such a choice?
Relevant personnel provided two main reasons to explain this decision:
First, hydrochloric acid is an acidic medium, so it is not suitable for contact radar level meters. This is because contact radar level meters may be corroded by acidic media, affecting the accuracy of measurement and the life of the equipment.
Second, hydrochloric acid is not only acidic, but also highly corrosive. Therefore, in order to ensure the durability of the antenna and flange, all-tetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) material with excellent anti-corrosion properties was selected. This hydrochloric acid radar level transmitter material can effectively resist the corrosion of hydrochloric acid, thus ensuring the long-term stable operation of the corrosion-resistant and acid-resistant radar level meter.
