Core Parameters To Understand When Purchasing High-Frequency 80GHz Radar Level Meters
Oct 28, 2024| High-frequency radar level meters are advanced radar measurement devices capable of measuring distances up to 120 meters. Through further optimization of the antenna and the application of new fast microprocessors, these devices can process data at higher speeds, making them suitable for various environments, including solid materials, process containers, and situations where crystallization or condensation may occur under heavy dust conditions. Before selecting a high-frequency 80GHz radar level meter, there are several key radar selection parameters to consider:

1.Measurement Range and Blind Spot: First, confirm the measurement range of the device in meters, and understand its blind spot requirements to ensure that the high-frequency radar can measure accurately in specific environments.
2.Medium Type: Specify whether the medium being measured is liquid or solid, and provide its name, such as clean water, wastewater, sludge, gasoline, diesel, toluene, sulfur dioxide, ores, coal, cement, soybeans, wheat, corn, flour, etc. If it is a liquid, consider whether there are factors affecting the surface, such as steam, mist, foam, fluctuations, agitation, or floating objects. If it is a solid, pay attention to the presence of dust and whether the medium is granular or powdered.
3.Temperature and Pressure Range: Understand the high and low temperatures of the medium, as well as the pressure levels, which are crucial for the selection and use of high-frequency radar equipment.
4.Corrosiveness: Assess the corrosiveness of the medium. If the equipment is placed inside a tank, it is essential to know the material of the tank and whether it has a corrosion-resistant lining to ensure the long-term stability of the device.
5.Protection Requirements: Determine whether anti-corrosion or explosion-proof designs are necessary, and consider whether the 80GHz radar device uses a split-type or integrated structure.
6.Operating Environment: The installation environment of the equipment is also an important factor. It is necessary to clarify whether it is an open pool, a covered pool, a horizontal tank, a vertical tank, or a spherical tank, as well as whether the tank is vented to the atmosphere.
7.Power Requirements: Understand the required operating power type, whether it is DC 24V or AC 220V, to ensure compatibility between the power supply and the equipment.
8.Output Signal: Confirm the form of the output signal from the device, whether it is a 4-20mA current output or 485 communication output, and whether relay output is needed. These factors will affect subsequent system integration.
Understanding the above parameters is key to selecting a high-frequency radar level meter, as each detail significantly impacts the device's performance and suitability.
