Radar Tank Gauge Is Widely Used in Many Fields: Accurate Measurement And Easy Maintenance

Oct 11, 2023|

Radar tank gauge is a widely used measuring equipment. It has the advantages of accurate measurement, stable performance, high reliability and easy maintenance. Liquid level measurement radar equipment has a wide range of applications and can be widely used in electric power, steel, metallurgy, cement, petrochemicals, papermaking, food and other fields. It can be installed in various metal and non-metallic containers or pipes to measure the level of liquids, slurries and granular materials. So, what are the specific radar level transmitter types and applications?

Radar tank gauge uses an antenna to transmit and receive microwave signals. The instrument is installed on the top of the silo tank and has no direct contact with the measured medium. The microwave signal propagates in the upper space of the silo and returns, thereby realizing the measurement of the material level.

According to the microwave waveform, non-contact radar level meters can be divided into two types: Pulse radar level meter and FM Continuous Wave Radar Level Meter. In practical applications, Pulse radar level meter is mainly used to measure liquid media in cylindrical and small-scale tanks. The frequency modulated continuous wave radar level meter is suitable for measurement of containers or storage tanks with large range and complex environment. FM Continuous Wave Radar Level Meter has the advantages of large energy, strong anti-interference ability (not interfered by dust, water vapor, temperature, pressure) and a wide range of applications. It can work stably in various complex environments to ensure the accuracy and reliability of measurement results.
