Radar Level Meter Parameter Setting Guide: Enhancing Measurement Accuracy

Oct 07, 2024|

Radar sensors are widely used in industrial production, and radar level meter parameter setting is a key focus for many users. Today, we will cover some important points regarding the parameter settings of radar level meters to help you use them more effectively.

Radar parameter settings

Before delving into the radar level meter parameter settings, it's essential to understand radar level meter working principle. Generally, radar level meters detect liquid levels by sending microwave signals. When these signals encounter the liquid surface, they generate echo signals, which are received to determine the liquid level height. Therefore, when radar level meter parameter settings, consider the following points:

1.Select the display function, whether to show the liquid level or the interval.

2.Choose the unit of measurement for the length displayed.

3.Output the height of the detected measurement.

4.Output the blind zone interval, which is the distance between the flange bottom and the pump liquid level.

5.Specify the antenna model and the length of any antenna extension.

6.Select the current input display function and output the corresponding detection range for the current input values.

The parameters for radar level meters must be complete, requiring information such as the equipment model, the medium being measured, temperature, density, and pressure. Proper Radar level meter parameter settings are crucial and indispensable, just like selecting the right radar level meter itself; the aforementioned parameters are also necessary.
