What Are The Common Problems in Field Application Of Microwave Level Switch
Aug 23, 2023|
1.Reflected signal interference: In some complex industrial environments, such as high temperature, high pressure, strong electromagnetic interference, etc., it may cause signal interference of the microwave level switch and affect its normal operation. The microwave level switch determines the position of the material by sending microwave signals and receiving reflected signals during the measurement process. If other reflectors are present on or near the material surface, such as pipe walls or other nearby equipment, signal interference can occur, interfering with the level measurement.
2. Effect of temperature: temperature will affect the ability of microwave signal to penetrate the material. When the temperature of the material changes, the transmission speed of the microwave signal may change, thus affecting the accuracy of the level measurement.
Material characteristics: Different materials have different characteristics, such as dielectric constant, density, viscosity, etc., which may affect the measurement results of microwave level switches, and need to be debugged and calibrated for different materials. For some relatively viscous materials, a diffraction zone may be formed around the antenna of the microwave level switch, resulting in distortion of the reflected signal and affecting the accuracy of level measurement.
4. Environmental noise interference: The signal received by the microwave level switch may be affected by the noise of the surrounding environment, such as radio frequency interference, lightning and other electromagnetic interference, which may interfere with the level measurement.
5. Improper installation location: The microwave level switch needs to be installed and positioned correctly to measure the level accurately. If the installation location is improper or does not match the flow direction of the material, it may affect the accuracy of the level measurement.
6.Equipment failure: Due to the influence of long-term use and environmental factors, the microwave level switch may fail during use, such as antenna damage, poor cable contact, etc., which will affect the accuracy of level measurement.
7.False alarm: Due to the influence of environmental factors, such as temperature, humidity, air pressure, etc., it may cause false alarm of the microwave level switch, resulting in unnecessary shutdown and maintenance.
