SOLIDAT Instruments Effectively Optimize The Sewage Treatment Process
Feb 28, 2024| The SOLIDAT Sewage treatment radar instrument optimizes the sewage treatment process. Among the multiple sewage treatment plants managed by municipal environmental protection companies, one of the challenges is the long distance between the various treatment plants. In addition, there are many obstacles to measurement in wastewater treatment plants, such as vibration, condensation, dust, scale, sludge, biogas and difficult-to-reach measurement points.

For level and pressure instruments, they need to meet different requirements, depending on their application. However, whether in open channels, filters or pools, measuring instruments need to have accurate measurement capabilities, easy operability, ruggedness and long-term maintenance-free performance.
In applications requiring a high level of protection, the SLDL5221 can stand the test. This compact wastewater tank level sensing can achieve accurate level measurement and is not affected by temperature fluctuations, environmental conditions such as wind, rain, fog, and dirt. Compared with ultrasonic measurement technology, open channel flow radar measurements technology has more advantages. SLDL5221 has strong signal focusing ability and can better distinguish between valid echoes and false echoes, thereby significantly improving measurement accuracy. In addition, SLDL5221 also has cable connection and IP66/IP68 protection grade, and can be directly connected to higher-level systems such as PLC.
SLDL5221 has been used in many aspects of sewage treatment. Wastewater tank level sensing is used to achieve accurate level measurement. For example, in terms of grilles, grilles with different apertures can remove suspended solids in water step by step. Coarse grilles filter dirt with a diameter of more than 25mm, while fine grilles are used to filter smaller residues. In sewage treatment plants, SLDL5221 is also used to measure the water level difference before and after the grille to determine the degree of pollution and start slag cleaning operations in a timely manner. In the sludge concentration tank, the settled sludge will first be concentrated in a large tank or pool to reduce the water content, thereby reducing the mud volume and increasing the solid content. Wastewater tank level sensing can continuously monitor the sludge volume and optimize the feeding process through continuous level measurement. The SLDL5221 is used in wastewater treatment plants to measure the level of sludge in different containers. The treated sludge will be transported outside the plant and reused in agriculture. Therefore, the SLDL5221 Sewage treatment radar makes an important contribution to resource recovery in sewage treatment work.
