Sharing Of Installation And Measurement Techniques For Guided Wave Radar Level Gauges

Apr 20, 2024|

Radar guided wave level meter is a widely used level instrument with a wide range of applications. However, during the guided wave radar level transmitter installation process, a series of specifications and requirements must be strictly followed to ensure its normal operation and accurate measurement. The following is a detailed introduction to several important requirements and precautions for installing Guided wave radar level transmitters:

1. Avoid internal obstacles:

When installing Radar guided wave level meters, be sure to avoid internal obstacles such as brackets, heating equipment, and limit switches. These obstacles may interfere with the measurement results of the level gauge or hinder its normal operation.

2. Cable position:

The cable of the guided wave radar level transmitter should be kept away from the inlet and outlet to avoid the flow of the measured medium from affecting the measurement results.

3. Pay attention to blind spots:

Maintain a certain distance between the instrument and the pipe wall to ensure the accuracy and stability of the guided wave radar level measurement.

During installation, the cable (rod) should be kept as perpendicular as possible to the surface of the measured medium to reduce measurement errors.

Instruments installed in explosion-proof areas must comply with the installation regulations for explosion-proof hazardous areas to ensure safety.

4. Installation position of conical container:

When guiding the wave radar level transmitter installation on a conical container, the installation position is at the top center of the container, which ensures that the measurement reaches the bottom of the container and accurately measures the level of the medium.

5. Outdoor installation precautions:

When installing outdoors, attention should be paid to protecting the instrument, taking measures such as shading and rain protection to prevent damage to the instrument or affecting its normal operation due to adverse weather conditions.

6. Electrical connection line requirements:

Electrical connection wires should be installed using two core shielded cables to ensure the stability and safety of signal transmission, while reducing the impact of external interference on measurement results.

The guided wave radar level transmitter installation must be strictly carried out in accordance with the requirements to ensure accurate and stable measurement of the level of the measured medium, thereby providing reliable data support for production and operation.
