Precautions For Using Radar Continuous Level Meter For Powder Measurement
May 11, 2024| As an advanced radar-type material level measuring instrument, the radar type continuous material level meter has a measuring distance of up to 120 meters. It has a series of advantages, such as low maintenance, high performance, high precision and high reliability, and also has the ability to be used for a long time. The advantages. The continuous radar level measurement antenna has been further optimized and is therefore suitable for measuring solid materials, process containers or environments with strong dust that is prone to crystallization and condensation.

However, when using a powder radar level meter for powder measurement, there are some things that need to be noted to ensure accuracy and reliability.
1. Avoid installing the radar type continuous material level meter at the center of the top of a hemispherical or parabolic container, because this may cause indirect echoes and be affected by multiple echoes.
2. When installed in the middle of the top of a flat-top container, the first echo and the indirect echo that may return from the side wall path may be received, so the installation location needs to be appropriately selected according to the height and diameter of the container. When installing on the tank wall, you also need to pay attention to avoid installing it too close to the tank wall, and install it about 1/4 to 1/6 away from the tank wall.
3. The choice of powder radar level gauge antenna must be matched with a waveguide, and the bottom of the antenna must extend into the container by at least 10mm to eliminate interference.
4. Installation near the feeding port and between the feeding port and the dust collection port should be avoided to avoid interference from blanking dust. The installation location must follow the 10:1 principle, and the sensor needs to be installed at one-tenth of the tank height from the tank wall.
5. Since the dust raised by the measuring medium will stick to the antenna port of the powder radar level meter and affect the measurement accuracy, it is recommended to use a purged radar level meter and clearly state the requirements to the manufacturer when ordering.
