Installation Tips For Radar Guided Wave Level Meter:Horizontal Tanks And Vertical Tanks

May 09, 2024|

radar guided wave level meters are popular for their low maintenance, high performance, high accuracy and high reliability. Its microwave signal transmission is not affected by the atmosphere and is suitable for harsh environments such as volatile gases, high temperatures, high pressures, steam, vacuum and high dust. It is widely used in metallurgy, building materials, energy, petrochemicals, water conservancy, food and other industries. For the installation of guided wave radar level gauges in horizontal and vertical tanks, there are the following requirements:

radar guided wave level meter installation

1. For tanks with a measurement distance of more than 6 meters, cable-type guided wave radar level gauge probes can be used. Non-special types of tube-type probes and rod-type probes can be up to 6 meters long.

2. The installation and fixation method of guided wave radar level gauge is the same as that of solid powder silo measurement.

3. There is no limit to the distance from the tank wall, but it is necessary to avoid the radar guided wave level meter probe from contacting the tank wall.

4. If there are many obstacles in the tank or the probe is too close, it is recommended to use a tubular probe for installation.

These requirements can ensure that the radar guided wave level meter can perform stable and accurate liquid level measurements in different types of tanks.
