Installation Considerations For Enhancing Radar Level Gauge Performance
Oct 25, 2024| To ensure precise positioning during the installation of the radar level gauge, it is necessary to mark the flange or thread. The marking should follow these requirements:

1.The flange indication for the radar level gauge should align with the tank wall or the center of the tank.
2.If installed through a bypass pipe, the flange marking should point to the side of the connecting pipe.
3.When using a guided wave tube, the marking should point to the side of the opening.
During the operation of the Radar Type Level Gauge, the amplitude of the echo signal reflects the optimization of the radar installation position. In applications involving solid materials, if the echo amplitude is low, try rotating the flange, moving it one hole position at a time to reduce interference echoes. Utilizing the false echo storage function can yield better measurement results.
The specific operational steps for the Radar Type Level Gauge are as follows:
1.Before connecting to the storage tank, confirm that there is no pressure and no hazardous substances inside the tank.
2.Make sure that the container is empty or the material level just covers the bottom of the tank before making adjustments. When the material level is low, the the installation of the radar level gauge can also be adjusted to optimize the signal by using false echo storage.
3.Rotate the flange marking to the hole position or rotate the thread by 1/8 turn, observing the echo amplitude and continue adjusting to the corresponding position.
Fix the flange or tighten the thread at the corresponding position, and replace the sealing ring if necessary.
