Electric Contact Drum Water Level Meter: Utilizing Differences in Conductivity To Optimize Industrial Processes

Electric contact water level meter is a device consisting of a measuring cylinder, electrical contacts and secondary instruments. Electric contact steam drum level gauge uses the difference in conductivity performance of water and steam in the boiler drum to convert changes in water level into changes in resistance value, and transmits them to secondary instruments through electrical contacts for measurement, display and control.

Electric contact level gauge has the characteristics of stable performance, high measurement accuracy, wide application range and strong anti-interference ability. It is widely used in boiler water supply and steam pipelines in power plants, metallurgy, petrochemical and other industries.

Electric contact level gauge, also known as Electric contact water level meter, is an instrument used to continuously measure the water level of steam drums. It is suitable for use in the feed water and steam pipelines of steam boilers or hot water boilers as a safety protection device. It receives the liquid level signal through electrical contacts installed between the upper and lower walls of the drum and indicates the water level. Since the instrument only receives signals from the liquid level without any interference, it can maintain the stability and reliability of the measurement data during normal operation.

 

The Electric contact water level meter has a thermocouple installed between the upper and lower electrodes of the steam drum. When there is water in the steam drum, a pressure difference will occur between the upper and lower electrodes, and the water level is indicated by measuring the change in pressure; when there is no water in the steam drum, there is no pressure difference between the upper and lower electrodes, and only a slight change in resistance. An electrical contact signal will be generated. Electric contact steam drum level gauge can obtain the value of differential pressure (or pressure) by measuring the voltage signal between the two electrodes. Based on the change in differential pressure or pressure, you can understand how the water level changes when the steam is running.
