Correct Installation And Use Of Guided Wave Radar Level Meter
May 10, 2023| The measurement principle of the guided wave radar level gauge is: the high-frequency microwave pulses emitted by the electronic components of the device run along a steel cable. When they touch the surface of coal powder, the microwave pulses are reflected back, and the microwave running time is calculated by the electronic components. , and output a distance value. Its technology is currently at the leading level in China. However, in field use, due to the complexity of the powder silo environment and the influence of various aspects, there are often errors and false values in its measurement values. Therefore, it should be properly installed and debugged to make it It is very important that the measurement is stable and the measurement error is within the range of <±1%.
Guided wave radar level gauge consists of the following parts:
1. Steel cables as measuring probes and their process connections;
2. Electronic components used to convert level signals into 4-20mA signals;
3. Adjustment module PLICSCOM for setting and displaying internal parameters;
4. A secondary instrument that displays measured values.
Installation Technical Requirements:
1.1 Sensor installation
1) When selecting the installation location, the distance between the sensor and the installation in the container is required to be > 300mm. When the instrument is working, the measuring probe should not be in contact with the installation in the container and the container wall. The side load on the probe should not be too large, so the sensor should be installed in an undisturbed position, that is, farther away from the feed inlet. After investigation, the installation position of the original powder level gauge is suitable for the installation conditions of this powder level gauge. In the application of the powder silo, because the medium in the silo does not fluctuate, it is relatively stable, and the end of the cable probe does not need to be fixed.
